Patreon

After much consideration, self-doubt, and procrastination, I have decided to set up a Patreon page to help support my writing and poetry. While I enjoy freely sharing poetry and other content on this blog (And, to be clear, I will continue to do so), being able to generate a steady income from my work, aside from the books I plan to publish, would allow me to work less (or ideally not at all) at a “day job” and concentrate solely on my writing projects.

As I said above, this decision will not effect this blog in any meaningful way. You will still be able to read my poetry here for free. However, if you choose to do so, you can subscribe and support my work on Patreon. There are several benefits to becoming a patron, depending on the level of support you choose. These range from early access to blog posts, to Patreon exclusive material (planned to be “behind the scenes” notes on how each poem was written, inspirations, scanned notebook pages), the opportunity to take part in patron polls to help me make certain creative decisions, free books, and more.

If you are interested in supporting my work on Patreon, or if you would just like more information, you can go to patreon.com/johnwleys or click the button in the sidebar.

Regardless of whether or not you choose (or are able) to support me via Patreon, thank you all for supporting my poetry with your time, likes and comments.

John W. Leys
